Only a short time back, I already miss the colorfulness of the bowls and the food in general in Canggu. When it comes to food, Bali leaves nothing to be desired. You can get everything your heart desires there. Even if you have allergies you shouldn’t have any problems there, because if there is a menu not the way you want it, you can just make it the way it is perfect for you.
It is worth reading the article or scrolling down. At the bottom, you will find the best places to buy food!
Make your food fit, it looked something like this on me:
As healthy as the food in Bali maybe, I missed the raw food pretty quickly. It is not so common in Bali to eat raw food because of the germs and hygiene raw food can quickly lead to bacteria in the intestines with which we don’t quite get along. Nevertheless, I took my chance and always had some extra raw food added. I also ordered the Tempeh un-fried when possible.
The best vegan-friendly and healthy Restaurants in Canggu
In Canggu, there is an incredible number of delicious and good restaurants and my list is certainly not complete. But 2 months of eating out were not enough, that big is the choice. Nevertheless, the selection I have here is more than enough to spend a very long time in Canggu eating out :).
Secret Spot Canggu – amazingly delicious Bowls and vegan waffles
Secret Spot is definitely one of my favorite restaurants. There are 2 different spots in Canggu. I can especially recommend the bowls, the waffles, and the garden rolls. Also, the cinnamon rolls are amazing, as well as the carrot cake. Simply a vegan dream.
Superfoods Canggu – create your own Bowls, sweet and savory
Everything that has to do with bowls and DIY always catches me directly :). That’s why Superfoods Canggu didn’t take me much further than testing Smoothie Bowls and Bowls as well as any drinks and the mousse au chocolate. And it was all dreamlike.
I am vegan babe – 100% vegan, 100% amazing
Here you can find everything you always wanted to try in vegan. It is mostly vegan junk food, but healthy is also possible. I have tested through most of it and found everything great, especially the vegan tiramisu, the cinnamon buns, and the Shrimps Bowl. Also, the Red Velvet Cake and Snickers Tarte were awesome.
Nüde in Canggu – a bit of everything
here it is also worthwhile to stop by and test yourself through the probiotic drinks. At dinner, I reordered the Bowls a la #Annelinastyle which is why it was great :). Aka, make your dish fit.
Cafe Crate – Nicecream Spot in Canggu
If you love Nicecream, you’ve come to the right place. The Root Bowl and other dishes are also super delicious and the value for money is just right. But the café is usually very crowded. If you decide to go there, you should allow time :). With a rumbling stomach, the Crate Café experience can be quite exhausting.
Cafe Organic – all organic and quite fancy
If you are there I recommend trying the Taro Latte, as well as the Cauliflower Wings and whatever else your heart desires :). The café is slightly more expensive because everything is organic.
Shady Shack – vegetarian/ vegan
When in Bali, you should come here and is plant-based. It’s THE spot where you can meet one or the other personality.
Peloton Supershop – vegetarian/ vegan
Since I almost always eat bowls, I can only judge the bowls here. They were very delicious and according to the statements of my friends, the other food too. I also found the vegan Tiramisu very tasty.
Mad Pops – Best Vegan Icecream in Canggu
going mad on Mad Pops, yeah that’s right… this ice cream place is dangerous :). Everything there is 100% vegan and it ranges from dark chocolate to really fancy ice cream like a black forest- cherry, cookie turmeric ice cream to rainbow ice cream. My favorite flavors: Salted Caramel, Praline Swirl, Cookie Dough, Peanutbutter, Tiramisu. It is worth going there often!
BGS (Café Bar and Surf Shop) – Best Coffee in Canggu
Here you get an incredibly good café with homemade almond milk.
Warung Jaba – cleanest Bowl you can order a la ‘Axelstyle‘
In the beginning I was a bit confused because of the many warungs in Bali, until I was told that warung means “little shop” in Indonesian. But mostly not in those where we ate. I didn’t dare to go to a typical Indonesian Warung so often, because they usually don’t speak English there and in the end I have no idea what’s on my plate.
Achtung Insider Tip:
If you’re in Jaba and you’re really in the mood for an incredibly healthy giant portion of vegetables with tempeh and peanut sauce, oil-free and salt-free, just order a la ‘AXELSTYLE‘. Axel is a friend of mine who lives on Bali and created this Bowl there :). The Warung now cooks extra always a big pot. Just ask for the Bowl a la Axelstyle.
