Just as I was writing the headline for my December 2020 favorites, I thought to myself, wow, these are going to be my last favorites this year. And this final post is supposed to be a very special one. But actually, December was just as beautiful and special as the months before. I think special, or maybe exciting, is the right choice of words here. Because thanks to Corona, no day this year was as I expected it to be. Exactly this shows me once again that we should always live free of expectations. That way we can really enjoy life! But of course this is not about the virus – we hear enough about that.
Instead, I’d rather talk about the weather. Yes, you heard me right, my absolute favorite this month was definitely the snow!!! I actually did my first gymnastics through the snow this year just before the new year. And I can tell you, during this snow trip I really felt how my batteries recharged and I really recharged my energy. This wintry interplay of snow, the clear and bright light and this bone-chilling cold just does something to us!

1. WHAT I BOUGHT: DESENIO – PREMIUM QUALITY POSTERS
How much homier it looks when the walls aren’t completely bare and white. At least that’s how I feel. And the odd saying on the wall always manages to make me smile. Some of my new posters decorating my apartment are from Desenio.
My current favorite saying is “better an oops, than a what if…”. I think we often trust far too little and fear far too much. So, away with the doubts and into the trust. Just see how it feels and what positive things can happen. By the way, I feel especially comfortable with Desenio, because they pay a lot of attention to our planet. You can read more about what they do here.
2. WHAT I CREATED IN DECEMBER 2020: CUTE BY EUCOFEL
Yeahhh, I’m a big fan of my latest creation! Have you discovered them yet? My Zucchini roll-ups are low carb, high protein and perfect for a little lighter cooking after Christmas. I created the recipe for a campaign with CuTe. The goal was to use as many vegetables as possible to promote the consumption of greenhouse grown fruits and vegetables. And, of course, as you know, that’s where I’m in my element.
CuTE is the first European information and promotion campaign for European fruits and vegetables. The fruit and vegetables promoted meet the highest quality and traceability standards. As a result, 14,500 families in Almeria have already found work.
3. WHAT I READ IN DECEMBER 2020: UNTAMED
“Who were you before the world told you who to be?” – have you ever asked yourself that question? In the book “Untamed,” bestselling author Glendon Doyle sets out to find an answer. For she realizes that at the age of 10, she lost her own self and instead became the person society expected her to be. I find the book very inspiring and it definitely made me reflect. I am very motivated to live even more “untamed”, to listen even more to myself and less to others.
