October – Halloween and Pumpkin
Happy Halloween :). Are you already in the mood? I’ve never really been in the Halloween mood, but this year is somehow different :). I think now at 31, I can take the Halloween party seriously and dress up ;).
Luckily I have friends who are huge fans and help me with the costumes. Otherwise, I always think, “oh what a shame now I have a costume and wear it at most 1 time a year”. That does not fit so one my minimalist lifestyle :). However, what fits, even more, Pumpkin Spice everything.
- Halloween like – what I created in October
- Delicious snacks – what I discovered in October
- New series – what I watched in October
This is what I created – Halloween Pumpkin Pudding Pie
If you haven’t seen it yet, my pumpkin pudding pie, it’s about time. It tastes so dreamy, creamy, pumpkiny… No really, it’s very worth it. For the real Halloween decor, you can add some spiders on top. If you are reading this now and Halloween is already over, no prob, just leave the decorations off. By the way, I highly recommend the Pumpkin Spice Latte as well as my other pumpkin creations.
Here’s what I discovered – Garden of Life Protein Bars and CO (advert)
okeeeeee goals! These protein bars just taste so so good. Even better is that not only do they taste good but they have good values and are organic. I had actually picked out the Salted Caramel and Chocolate Fudge with. However, they were empty and when my package arrived with a mint chocolate bar, I thought, oh no please not such an after-eight version. (I have once overeaten on it and do not like the combination so much.)
But I was taught better. The combination in the protein Rigeln is the madness. Is probably because all the ingredients are natural and the natural mint flavor is much weaker. Accordingly, also does not arise after-eight taste, good for me. Haven’t tested through all of them yet, but the ones I’ve had so far (those were the performance ones) I love a lot.
I also hype the liver bitters. Due to the fact that pretty much all the bitters have been bred out of our foods, I like to help out here. What a shame that many of us don’t like bitter and that’s why the food industry has started to re-breed typically bitter products like radicchio, chiroee, endive lettuce, and CO. Well, here comes the Bitter Liver. What I like about the bitter liver spray (tastes zero bitter, by the way) is that it’s made with apple cider vinegar. And according to Dr. Greger, I eat at least 2 tsp of apple cider vinegar every day. So when I’m on the go, the liver bitters is the solution.

What I watched – Sex Education
Have you seen this one yet? The Netflix series, Sex Education. I’m still not a Netflix or series junkie at all. But with my boyfriend I watch. We have now started Sex Education and somehow I think the series is great. Inclusion is also very important here and the characters are diverse. I also like the form of acting, the music and the topics that are not on a complete cringe level. There are also deeper emotional conversations that arise. I think the series is well suited for evenings. It doesn’t stir too much and I can at least sleep well afterwards :).
That was my October, full of Halloween and pumpkin – how was yours?
