Two-ingredient orange chocolate mousse 🍊🍫
I couldn’t believe how delicious this orange chocolate mousse is! Best of all, it consists of just two ingredients.
We’ve all been there: you need to make something quickly. You’ve been invited to a party where you have to bring something or you really fancy a delicious dessert in the evening. This recipe is just right for that!
Super easy:
Everything you need, you probably already have at home: chocolate and an orange.
You just have to mix it all and within a few minutes, you’ll have a delicious and also healthy dessert. I like to use dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa content. Because of that, the dessert not only tastes good but also has great health benefits for you and your body plus the consistency gets better.
- 1 large orange (for 110ml orange juice)
- 60g dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
- Pinch of salt
- Squeeze the orange and pour the juice into a high-speed blender.
- Chop the chocolate and optionally add a pinch of salt. Blend until creamy for 3-5 minutes. Note: My blender heats up after 3 minutes, causing the chocolate to melt. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate beforehand using a water bath.
- Divide your chocolate mixture into 1-2 containers and let it cool in the refrigerator.
- Enjoy with whipped cream or chocolate shavings.
P.S.: Here you can find the video for the recipe. You can find other beautiful desserts in my blog!
Toppings for the orange chocolate mousse:
Naturally, the topping for such a delicious dessert is crucial and can give it an extra boost. I usually just grate some vegan chocolate over it, which I always have at home, and you will too once you make this recipe. Alternatively, I find fruits as toppings delicious, such as orange, blueberries, or even vegan skyr. Especially now that strawberry season is starting again, strawberries also go very well with the mousse.
For those who prefer it classic, whipped cream as a topping is a nostalgic choice. It reminds me of grandma’s puddings.
