My favorite recipes for the Christmas season!
The Christmas season is just around the corner. Every year, people come together to celebrate Christmas. For many, and for me too, this time means love, joy, gratitude, contemplation and, of course, good food. 🙂 In this post, I would like to share my personal favorite recipes for savory Christmas dishes with you. They are not only delicious, but also vegan.
As a passionate cook, I love trying out new creations. That’s why I make delicious plant-based meals all year round. You probably love being in the kitchen too, otherwise you wouldn’t have searched for Christmas recipes.
In my opinion, Christmas should be something special. That’s why I consciously take time to prepare the meals. The recipes can therefore be a little more elaborate and time-consuming. After all, I love spending Christmas with my family and I’m happy when they enjoy my food.
As you may have already expected, I also serve vegan dishes at Christmas. I’m sure you’ll love them too. If you’re still looking for a delicious Christmas menu, I’ve written one down for you here.
Below I share 5 of my best hearty Christmas recipes with you:
Fennel orange salad with caramelized walnuts
Let’s start with a refreshing starter for your festive meal. For this, I recommend a salad with fennel, oranges and caramelized walnuts.
If you don’t like a fruity salad, you can also prepare a different one. For example, use a knife to dice tomatoes, cucumber, mushrooms, carrots and peppers. Then cut your favorite leafy vegetables, such as lettuce or iceberg lettuce, into bite-sized pieces. If you are using rocket or lamb’s lettuce, you can skip this step.
Now place everything in a bowl and mix together. You can then add corn, olives and spring onions or whatever else you like in your salad.
Next, season everything with salt and pepper. There are also great spice mixes, such as avocado topping, which provide a more exciting flavor. It’s best to just look in your spice cupboard and decide for yourself what might work well. 🙂
Finally, you can add a little olive oil or walnut oil. For a normal cereal bowl full of salad, I add about 1-2 tablespoons of oil. If you don’t want to use oil, you can also make the dressings from my 3 quick salads to go.
Christmas without animal suffering
Now let’s move on to the main courses. Perhaps some mixed foodies think I need something hearty like a Christmas duck, roast goose, potato salad with sausages, raclette, fondue or a pork fillet. In short: lots of meat, cheese and dairy products. But there are also great vegan recipes that taste hearty and are much healthier at the same time. What’s more, you’ll also feel good physically after the meal. And the best thing about it is that no animals had to suffer for it.
You might even feel happy in your stomach. Because I create my recipes according to a special secret formula. You can read more about this in my cookbook: Ein Bauch voll Glück. It could also make a lovely Christmas present for yourself or friends.
Vegan Christmas roast | vegan, simple and delicious
Now I would like to introduce you to a vegan Christmas roast. This recipe is easy, quick and tastes as delicious as it looks. What’s more, the vegan Wellington consists of simple ingredients. All you have to do is mix them together and add them to the batter. Then put everything in the oven for 20 minutes. Your festive feast is ready. 🙂 This creation will be a delicious surprise for your family and friends.

A little tip: If you don’t like dumplings, you can boil potatoes and peel them afterwards.
3 stuffed pumpkin variations
If you already know some of my recipes, you know that I love pumpkin. What I particularly like about it is that it can be used in so many different ways. You can use it in both sweet and savory dishes.
The following main course is suitable for both Halloween and Christmas. Simply choose your favorite version. Of course, as always, you can swap or omit ingredients. My recipes are only intended as inspiration.
You can find my video instructions for this delicious pumpkin recipe here.
If you have created a great new combination, please share it with us in the comments. Then other readers and I can try out your version too.

Vegan baked pumpkin with cinnamon
While we’re on the subject of pumpkin, I’ll finish with another recipe using it. It’s super easy and quick to make. This means that even inexperienced cooks can’t really go wrong. My baked pumpkin provides a very special taste experience thanks to the addition of cinnamon. It also makes a great side dish or ingredient in a healthy vegetable bowl.
I hope these hearty vegan Christmas recipes inspire you and bring joy to your holiday cooking. If you take a picture of your results and share it on Instagram, I’d be delighted if you tagged me.
Finally, I hope you enjoy cooking and baking.
