Vegan treats for the Christmas season
Can you imagine Christmas without sweet treats? Cookies, biscuits, gingerbread, baked apples, Linzer slices and much more are sure to get you in the Christmas spirit just like me. In addition to the numerous Christmas sweets from stores or the Christmas market, there is also the option of making your own treats. You can make them with lots of love in your own Christmas bakery. Incidentally, the cookies and cookies also make excellent gifts. I look forward to hearing from you here in the comments or on Instagram about how you liked my sweet Christmas recipes. 🙂
I’m sure I’ll soon have so many sweets together that I’ll be able to create a great baking book from them. I’m still a long way from listing all my cookies, cakes and creams here.
Below I would like to show you 9 sweet Christmas recipes.
1. Healthy and gluten-free cranberry cookies
Let’s start with the classic: cookies. Did you also like baking cookies with your loved ones as a child? Well, I did. For me, they are simply part of Christmas. The dough tastes so delicious even raw that it’s hard not to eat it all before baking.
2. Classic and yum cut out cookies
Let’s stick straight to cookies and move on to these delicious cookies with jam filling. They look wonderful and taste fantastic. They make the perfect last-minute Christmas gift.
3. Linzer Cut Out Cookie
Now I would like to introduce you to my healthy Linzer cookies. They contain no butter or oil. The source of fat here is almonds and hazelnuts. I think they almost look like they were made by a pastry chef, don’t you? 🙂 They certainly taste great.
You can find video instructions for the vegan Linzer slices on Youtube.
Note: The recipe starts at 5:45
4. Gingerbread
What other typical Christmas treat can you think of? I think gingerbread, along with cookies, can also be found on most Christmas plates. That’s why I went into the bakery and created a vegan gingerbread recipe. It consists mainly of nuts, date sugar and linseed. This makes them much healthier than the industrially produced products you find in the supermarket. They taste at least as good. Try them out or surprise your friends with these delicious gingerbread cookies.
5. Vegan gingerbread bars
The next recipe is for raw food bars with a gingerbread flavor. So if you want to try something different from normal gingerbread, I recommend these gingerbread bars. The combination of the three layers: Date nut base, nut butter and chocolate taste simply delicious. Decorated with your favorite toppings, such as pecans or goji berries, they also look delicious, don’t they? 🙂
As the gingerbread RAW bars are not baked, they can be prepared in just a few minutes. You just have to be patient for an hour because the bars need to set in the freezer first. If you don’t want to wait any longer, you can of course try them straight away. However, they will probably lose their shape. But that doesn’t change the wonderful taste.
I have published a video instructions on Instagram.
6. Pumpkin spice muffins | vegan, gluten-free, oil-free
I can also recommend my vegan pumpkin muffins. In this recipe, the Hokkaido provides a lovely juiciness without any oil. It also provides vitamins, minerals and fiber. The homemade pumpkin spice gives the pastries a great Christmassy flavor. If you’ve never made desserts with pumpkin before, why not try these muffins next? I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
If you would like to try out more sweet pumpkin recipes afterwards, you can find more treats here.
7. Baked apple
Apples are definitely part of Christmas. Especially baked apples or candied apples from the Christmas market. Here you can find a healthy vegan version that tastes simply heavenly. I look forward to you trying the baked apple. The recipe isn’t difficult at all and will satisfy your sweet tooth perfectly.
8. Mousse au chocolat
If you love chocolate, this recipe is just the thing for you. It consists of just 3 ingredients and can be prepared in no time at all. Of course, this chocolate mousse is vegan, as the main ingredient is silken tofu. You can find this in organic markets or some supermarkets. In my opinion, this sweet dish is perfect as a dessert on Christmas Eve. Serve it to your loved ones and be sure to let me know how you liked it. 9. Speculoos cream 2.0 + gingerbread recipe
Here’s another dessert idea. Be sure to try this recipe if you like the taste of speculoos. It’s healthy, vegan and easy to prepare. You will also need silken tofu. In my opinion, the combination of cream and gingerbread is simply fantastic. I’m sure your friends and family will agree. So it’s best to prepare a larger quantity right away. 🙂
You can find the video instructions for the speculoos cream with gingerbread pieces on Instagram.
The picture below shows another incredibly delicious chestnut and cinnamon cream. This recipe was our last course at Christmas 2019. You can read the full vegan menu here.
