Have you added any new hobbies since the Corona crisis or perhaps brought long-forgotten hobbies back to life? In any case, I have some new favorites in April 2020.
After I, and probably everyone else, spend a lot of time at home, suddenly other things become valuable. Even if I am slowly missing the social life and I have the feeling that the streets are extinct, life in nature as well as at home is beginning to become active. Pencils are unpacked, batiks are tried out, for others maybe the sewing box, new baking tins etc. It is also nice to see how we stick together, support our locals and maybe participate in other fundraising events. Since I was in Bali for two months over the winter, I would like to support there as well. Many people live from tourism and have nothing left to survive. Every Euro saves lives! If you want to donate, please contact me, I will provide you with information! We have friends there who take care of it.
“me and some of my friends who stay here try to help 20 local families that jobless and barely have anything left, we try to give them food packages contain of rice, instant noodle and eggs. If you guys want to contribute do let me know. We could use all help that we can get on this darkest hour. I hope this will pass soon.. 😔Puspa” (You can also see Puspa in this video – she showed us the Balinese kitchen.)
ALOE VERA FOR BETTER SLEEP
For most of us the bedroom is a refuge, a place to relax. If you visit my blog or Instagram account regularly, you know that I like to deal with the topic of sleep and do a lot to optimize it. Besides my lavender oil (discount: annelinawaller10), hemp oil, and Reishi cocoa*, I also have a houseplant next to my bed, which I love more than anything else. Not only does it look beautiful, but it also promotes sleep. The Aloe Vera plant is one of the plants that can redistribute chemicals that are present in our rooms from cleaning products, wall paint, plaster and solvents. Because it helps to clean the air, aloe vera is often listed as one of the best indoor plants. It gives off oxygen at night, giving us fresher air and a sleep-inducing effect. Aloe is also good for those (like me) who tend to forget to water, because our good Aloe does not need much water.
FITNESS BANDS FOR THE SPORTY BALANCE
Another one of my favorites is sport, as you might know. What I use again very much are my fitness bands*. They are simply mega for workouts at home, but also when traveling. I bought them some time ago and take them with me everywhere I go. Now they are finally also used at home. This investment has more than paid off.
MINI BAKING TIN FOR MORE VARIETY IN THE KITCHEN
I have the feeling that I bake almost every day and so do many of you :). Suddenly we have time and visits to restaurants fall flat anyway. I have bought a small form*, so I can bake more and try more :). A cake only lasts 1-2 days, but for us this is a perfect time and for me one more reason to bake a new cake :).
What are your monthly favorites? I am looking forward to your inspiration!
Love, Annelina
