February was pretty cold, wet and grey – warm chocolate, cafés as well as hot water bottles were my best friends 🙂 Sometimes that can really put a damper on the mood, can’t it? But somehow the whole thing is very cozy again. I finally got around to it, or rather I took the time to inaugurate my bathtub. The spa effect definitely comes from candlelight and lavender oil – one of my favorite ways to relax. And that brings us to my first monthly favorite.
LAVENDER OIL – MY COMPANION FOR A FEELING OF HOME
Small but nice, and above all beneficial. You can take it with you everywhere and use it in so many moments. My lavender oil actually accompanies me everywhere, as it gives me a feeling of routine and home. Especially when traveling, I can sometimes use it very well. I always drip a few drops on my fingers in the evening and smear them behind my ears and on my temples. It feels so good.
And since we are already asleep, we continue straight on here. Especially in the cold months, we need a lot of sleep and rest – at least that’s how I feel. In the summer, I also get by with less sleeping time. Because the warm sunlight always gives me an extra energy boost 🙂
BLUE LIGHT FILTER-GLASSES FOR A DEEPER SLEEP
She is sexy, makes you look smart and makes you sleep better. Sounds pretty cool, right? I discovered the blue light-glasses last month and now I wear them always in the evening, a few hours before I go to sleep. Since I spend a lot of time in front of my laptop screen during the day and sometimes in the evening, they are just right for me to have a positive effect on my sleep.
Of course, you can wear glasses during the day. But I’m still not sure if I’m ready for this “sexiness level” 🙂 What wearing blue light filter glasses does to you exactly is quite subjective. Wearers report less dry eyes and fewer headaches. I am not affected by either of these and feel less tired. I got mine from *Barner because I like the look and they are also cheaper than the others I found.
SADHGURU – INNER ENGINEERING
I have been listening to the *book of Sadhguru called “Inner Engineering” for two days now and so far I am completely thrilled. In an exciting way, Sadhguru manages to convey the ancient yogic practice through his rather modern language. Thus his book is also aimed at a broad audience and is, in my opinion, good access to spirituality. Sadhguru is the founder of the international and spiritual organization Isha Foundation and is now also invited as a speaker at TED, Google or Microsoft. He has thus acquired an ability to make traditional spiritual concepts accessible in a modern way.
Sadghuru emphasizes: “Truth is timeless, but the technology and language [that spiritual teacher’s use] are always contemporary.
“Inner Engineering is an opportunity to engineer an inner transformation that deepens your perception, bringing about a dimensional shift in the very way you look at your life, your work, and the world that you inhabit. It is offered as an intensive program for personal growth and establishes the possibility of exploring the higher dimensions of life, in addition to optimizing health and success.”
Have you read the book? Or are you a big lavender oil fan as me? I am happy to hear from you!
Love,
Annelina
