The raw carrot oatmeal is actually an old recipe but yet I only featured it on IG and in my Stories. It’s high time that this much-requested recipe is going now live on my blog :). There are many carrot (cake) oatmeal recipes but most of them are cooked. If you followed my diet for a while, you might know, that I love raw food and need at least one raw meal a day (mostly breaky – except I’m on the road). The raw carrot oatmeal one is (besides zucchini oatmeal and smoothies) my favorite on the go breakfast. It’s perfect to pack into jars and take it wherever you want to. Let’s get started.
Why to eat raw oats:
Oats are a wonderful grain with great benefits. The are whole grain and a great source of important vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants. It is a proven Mood-Food and makes us beautiful skin and hair (and carrots too). Due to hygiene and durability, oats are heated. During this process, they lose some of their healthy benefits. To benefit the most from this healthy grain, we can make them easily by ourselves. I use this *grain mill to make my oats and keep the raw quality!
- Chop dates and soak with oats,
waterand cinnamon overnight or at least 1 hour in the morning.
- Shred carrot using a grater, cut orange and combine with oatmeal.
- Pour in fresh orange juice plus sea buckthorn juice (optional), cut toppings as banana, and strawberries. You might love to serve it with coconut flakes.
Have you already tried the raw carrot oatmeal?
I would love to hear how it went.
